Biography

Clement Moore was born on July 15, 1779 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for Twas the Night Before the Living Dead, Lance's Crappy Christmas (2021) and The Night Before Christmas (1912). He was married to Catherine Taylor. He died on July 10, 1863 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA.

In 1813, his parents deeded him their estate "Chelsea", where he was born, which his mother had acquired from her father. Today, Chelsea is one of the most exclusive and sought after neighborhoods in Manhattan.

His father Benjamin gave Holy Communion to Alexander Hamilton at Hamilton's deathbed in 1804.
