Biography

Allison Moore is an American artist and former actress known as the voice of Dee Dee from seasons 1 and 3 of Dexter's Laboratory, as well as a video game. She attended Ukarumpa International School at Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea. Moore graduated in 1995 at California Institute of Arts with a Major in Theatre. She was hired by Genndy Tartakovsky to do the voice of Dee Dee for his sophomore student short film "Changes", which would later become the basis for the World Premiere Toons (later What a Cartoon!) short Dexter's Laboratory. Moore left the series to move to New York for theatre work. By circa. 2000, Moore moved back to Los Angeles and provided the voice of Dee Dee again in Season 3 as Dee Dee's other voice actress Kat Cressida was unavailable. By the fourth and final season, she was replaced by Cressida as Cartoon Network preferred Cressida.

Besides acting, Moore is also an artist. Moore paints homes, businesses, murals, and portraits. Moore is also a photographer, the project manager and owner of Vernon Adams’ Fonts, and the painter and creator of Groundbreaking Girls. She has previously worked as the artist advisor and teacher of San Clemente Art Supply & Framing, shop manager of CCA Charity Shop, speaker and coach of Weight Watchers, the secretary of Dana Point Arts Council, and the event coordinator of Children's Museum of the Arts.

Moore loved working on the Dexter's Laboratory episodes "Changes", "Old Man Dexter", and "That Magic Moment". In particular, Moore enjoyed recording "That Magic Moment" with Mark Hamill in the same room.
