Moon So-ri was born on July 2, 1974 in Busan, South Korea. She is an actress and director, known for The Handmaiden (2016), The Running Actress (2017) and Oasis (2002). She has been married to Jang Joon-hwan since December 24, 2006. They have one child.

First Korean actress to serve on the jury for the 'Orizzonti' section at the Venice International Film Festival.

Married to director Jang Joon-hwan and gave birth to their first child at age 37, a daughter, on August 4, 2011.

In 2010 she suffered a miscarriage while 3 months pregnant with her first child.
