- Was hired by notorious grade-Z producer Robert J. Horner in 1927 to direct a low-budget western for his Aywon Films company at $125 per week, but was never paid. His case was pursued by Los Angeles County Deputy D.A. Cancannon, who filed numerous actions against Horner.
