Biography

Muriel Montossé is a French actress and writer. After studying at Cours Florent, Muriel Montossé began her career in 1979 working with director Jess Franco, establishing herself in the French film industry during the late 1970s. She collaborated with Franco on multiple occasions throughout her career, while simultaneously developing her craft across various genres and mediums. Montossé appeared in Jean-Jacques Annaud's "Coup de tête" alongside Patrick Dewaere, demonstrating her versatility beyond genre cinema. During the 1980s, she expanded her work into television, appearing in notable series including "Les Dames à la licorne" and "Châteauvallon". She served as an associate for five years on the France 3 program "Class", showcasing her involvement in French broadcasting. Her extensive filmography spans several decades, with credits continuing into the 2020s in productions such as "Tous flics!" (2022) and "The ABCs of Love" (2020). Throughout her career, Montossé has maintained a consistent presence in French entertainment, transitioning seamlessly between film and television while contributing to the industry as both performer and writer. After having mainly worked in exploitation cinema, she was a member for 5 years in the show La Classe on France 3. She has also appeared in numerous films and series.

Daughter of the owners of "Chaussures Montossé" in Perreux-sur-Marne, she spent her childhood and adolescence in several religious institutions: Notre-Dame de France (opposite Malakoff station), Notre-Dame du Bel-Air in Monfort -l'Amaury, and Carcado-Saisseval, private high school at 121 boulevard Raspail in Paris.

Muriel first worked with Spanish filmmaker Jesús Franco in 1979.
