Leticia Monte(I)

Leticia Monte is brazilian - portuguese director, producer, actor, script writer and social activist. Founding partner of Espiral, working in documentaries and fiction feature films, video art, theater and performance. Co-director and screenwriter of the feature-length documentary Movements of the Invisible (2020). Producer of BlackRio! BlackPower! (2023) and Favela É Moda (2020), directed by Emílio Domingos, the latter of which won best documentary by popular vote and both films received honorable mention at the Rio Film Festival; Helô (2023); Gilberto Gil Antologia Vol.1 (2019) and O Muro (2018), directed by Lula Buarque de Holanda; Uma Garota Chamada Marina (2019) directed by Candé Salles. Associate Producer of A Música Segundo Tom Jobim (2011) directed by Nelson Pereira dos Santos and Dora Jobim; and O Mistério do Samba (2008) directed by Lula Buarque de Hollanda and Carolina Jabor. Director of the video installations Atlântica (2025), presented at the Museu do Meio Ambiente/JB-RJ, DSÍ Embodyment (2021), presented at Pinakotheke (RJ and SP) and Bienal do Mercosul 2022.
