Biography

Berta Monnard was born on July 24, 1875 in Germany. She was an actress, known for Entfesselte Leidenschaften (1919), Vier Finger (1919) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (1950). She died on December 1, 1966 in Berlin, Germany.

To her first movies belong "Agnes Arnau und ihre drei Freier" (1918) playing the role of Luise von Hermanntitz with Henny Porten.

The actress Bertha Monnard joined the film business at the end of the 10s.

Bertha Monnard made her comeback many years after the movie Friedrich Schiiler (1923) and she impersonated support roles in the productions "Zwei Welten" (1940) directed by Gustaf Gründgens playing the role of mother Schulz and as a landlady in "Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor" (1950).

She concentrated again to the theater in the 20s, only for Curt Goetz's movie "Friedrich Schiller" (1923) she returned to the big screen.
