She has two boys Liam (b. August 2004) and Rio Grillo (b. January 2008) and a stepson Remy (b. January 1997) from Frank Grillo's first marriage. She was previously married to David Birsner. Moniz has worked regularly in television since her debut in 1995, appearing in 15 series and over 50 commercials.
