Biography

Silvia Monfort was born on June 7, 1923 in Paris, France. She was an actress and writer, known for The Secret of Mayerling (1949), Emmenez-moi au théâtre (1982) and Riff Raff Girls (1959). She was married to Pierre Gruneberg and Maurice Clavel. She died on March 30, 1991 in Paris, France.

Résistante in the Chartres region, she met Maurice Clavel whom she married. She became a driving force in the regional theaters creation in France while being the companion of director Jean-Paul Le Chanois . From 1963, her companion was ski and swimming instructor Pierre Gruneberg. A theater and a prize bear her name.
