Biography

Head of BBC Light Entertainment (1987 - 1994).

He was awarded the LVO (Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order) before being awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2003 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to Broadcasting. He was controller of BBC Radio 2.
