- The Russian guest director Pyotr Sharov allowed Van der Moer to shine in his Chekhov productions. For her role as the melancholic Masha in Three Sisters, she was the first recipient of the Theo d'Or (named after Theo Mann-Bouwmeester) in 1955 and was named Actress of the Year.
- Van der Moer could also be heard in numerous radio broadcasts and seen in television adaptations and in seven Dutch feature films.
