Rhys Mitchell

Rhys Mitchell is an Australian writer, actor, and artist. Best-known internationally for playing The Amazing Steven in the multiple Emmy-winning HBO Max series "Hacks", his other credits include the Emmy-nominated BBC/ABC drama "The Newsreader", "Upper Middle Bogan", "Strife" opposite Asher Keddie," Barracuda", "CAKE: Shark Lords" on FX, Hulu, and Apple TV; Netflix and NBC Peacock series "Irreverent", and "The Happy Worker", executive-produced by David Lynch. Recent film work includes "The Rooster" with Hugo Weaving. A multi-award winning filmmaker, his documentaries include "Max Gimblett: Original Mind: and "Spare Time", a comic documentary co-directed with Maria Angelico about amateur ten-pin bowlers. His short films have screened at many festivals worldwide, with "We Keep On Dancing" winning Best Live Action Short at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
