  • Norman Mitchell was born on August 27, 1918 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, UK. He was an actor, known for The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), Oliver! (1968) and Danger UXB (1979). He was married to Pauline Southcombe and Laura Deane. He died on March 19, 2001 in King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, UK.

  • Trained in medicine at Sheffield University. At 18 he walked from Sheffield to London to become an actor. He spent over six years in active service in the Royal Army Medical Corps in World War II including a spell attached to the Desert Rats.
  • On the set of Carry on Screaming! (1966), he complained to the producer Peter Rogers about the conditions on the set. He was not used in another Carry On film as a result for 12 years, when he returned in Carry on Emmannuelle (1978).
  • Actor credited with nearly 200 film appearances, 500 radio broadcasts and an estimated 2,000 television appearances.
