Grandfather of John A. Mirisch, mayor of Beverly Hills and of producer Richard Mirisch.

Along with brothers Marvin Mirisch and Walter Mirisch, formed the Mirisch Company, Inc.

With Monogram in the early 1950's. Later became Vice President of Allied Artists.
