Nobuko Miyamoto was born on 14 November 1939 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an actress and composer, known for West Side Story (1961), Women of the Prehistoric Planet (1966) and Arrest and Trial (1963).

Since 1978, she has been artistic director of Great Leap, Inc., a non-profit arts organization which uses the arts to promote deeper understanding between the diverse cultures of America.
