Biography

Carlos Miranda was born on July 29, 1933 in São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. He was an actor and production manager, known for Macumba Love (1960), Arara Vermelha (1957) and Noiva da Noite - o Desejo de 7 Homens (1974). He died on February 17, 2025 in São João da Boa Vista - Brazil.

He became famous for playing Inspector Carlos in the television series O Vigilante Rodoviário , always accompanied by Lobo, a German shepherd dog that resembled the famous Rin-Tin-Tin .

He has the Anchieta Medal, the highest honor of the São Paulo City Council.

Carlos Miranda was a former Brazilian actor and Lieutenant Colonel PM Res of the Military Police of the State of São Paulo.

Miranda began his career as a circus and amusement park singer at the age of 15, and soon after went to work for the Maristela companies and attended the SESI Popular Theater groups, where he took an acting course, debuting in the play "O Ídolo das Meninas" by Gastão Tojeiro, performed at the Colombo Theater in Largo da Concórdia in São Paulo, now Praça da Concórdia (the theater no longer exists).

Carlos Miranda participated in classic car exhibitions where he displayed his Simca-Chambord, the original used in the series São Paulo State Highway Police. He was also the patron of the Automobile Club of Brazil.
