Biography

Pierre Mingand was born on June 2, 1900 in Besançon, Doubs, France. He was an actor, known for La guerre des valses (1933), Bad Seed (1934) and She Returned at Dawn (1938). He was married to Marguerite Arandel and Irène Montanet. He died on August 19, 1982 in Agen, Lot-et-Garonne, France.

During shooting of Coup de tête (1944), he was seriously injured when part of the set collapsed and fell on top of him. This accident effectively ended his career.

He sang the French song "Rien dans les Mains, rien dans les Poches" which was written in 1948 by Henri Betti (music) and André Hornez (lyrics).

Also theater actor and singer who later became a sales manager, his widow was an actress, singer, stage director and theater director also known as Marguerite Magnin-Mingand (Clichy-la-Garenne, France,11 May 1917- 17 April 2010, Aiguillon, France).
