Biography

Franklin Milton was born on August 19, 1907 in Carthage, Missouri, USA. He is known for Ben-Hur (1959), North by Northwest (1959) and How the West Was Won (1962). He was married to Ethel Marion Erickson. He died on October 16, 1985 in Agoura Hills, California, USA.

Winner of three Academy Awards. Two--for Grand Prix (1966) and How the West Was Won (1962) were stolen. The Academy replaced them. They were also later stolen.

Father of cinematographer Gary E. Milton.

Great-grandfather to actor Steele Savokinas.
