He was particularly highly regarded in the operas of Giuseppe Verdi: Amanasro in "Aida," Giorgio Germont in "La Traviata," Renato in "Un Ballo in Maschera," Don Carlo in "Ernani," Posa in "Don Carlo," Monforte in "I Vespri Siciliani," and the title roles in "Rigoletto" and "Simon Boccanegra."
