John Miller-Monzon
John Miller-Monzon, or JMM to those in the know, is a veteran creative producer of premium non-fiction film & TV for broadcast, streaming, and digital. Story-driven. Fact-based. Archival-obsessed. Hard-core.

In the documentary arena, JMM's first notable projects were two Emmy-nominated miniseries, A Decade Under the Influence and Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues: A Musical Journey. Feature & television documentary credits include Oscar winner The Cove, Indie Spirit Award winner Crazy Love, Peabody Award winner Black Magic and the popular Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead.

Additional credits include Emmy winner Mission Blue, PGA Award nominee A Place at the Table, Imagen Award winner Viva Baseball!, FANGORIA Chainsaw nominee Amityville: An Origin Story, and critical favorite Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened. Recent credits include docu series THE VOW Part Two for HBO and acclaimed documentaries Gloria Gaynor: I Will Survive and Men of War.

JMM launched his freelance producing career with Comedy Central's cult sitcom, Strangers With Candy, starring Stephen Colbert & Amy Sedaris. Additional scripted comedy credits include IFC TV's The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman, starring Laura Kightlinger & Nicholle Tom, and CMT's Still the King, starring Billy Ray Cyrus & Joey Lauren Adams.

As a development executive, JMM first worked for Independent Film Channel & IFC Films, subsequently returning to IFC TV as interim Director of Development, before becoming Director of Development for News & Documentaries for Viacom's CMT network where he launched the CMT Docs banner and executive produced the acclaimed theatrical features The Bandit, Chicken People, and If I Leave Here Tomorrow: A Film About Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Additional EP credits include reality series Gainesville, docu-drama miniseries NASCAR: The Rise of American Speed, and tv documentaries Johnny Cash: American Rebel and Urban Cowboy: The Rise and Fall of Gilley's.
