- Salvatore Antonio is an award-winning actor with a career spanning more than three decades across television, film and theatre. He is the recipient of the 2024 ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance and has received three Canadian Screen Award nominations, three Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations and two ACTRA Award nominations. He is also a published and produced writer, his first play ‘In Gabriel’s Kitchen’, was named a finalist for the Governor General’s Award for Drama. His extensive screen career includes more than 80 television and film credits, with notable roles in Slasher (Netflix/AMC+), Schitt’s Creek (CBC/Pop), The Republic of Sarah (The CW/CBS) and Mary Kills People (Global). An accomplished stage actor, Salvatore has performed in leading roles in both classical and contemporary productions at major theatres across Canada. Notably, he played the iconic role of ‘Scar’ in the critically acclaimed, extended Toronto Mirvish production of Disney’s The Lion King at the Princess of Wales Theatre. He trained at the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada.

- Salvatore is named after an older brother who passed away, before he was born. He has an intricate tattoo on his left shoulder that honors that brother. The tattoo has been featured on screen in numerous appearances.
