Lora Lee Michel was born on September 13, 1940 in La Grange, Texas, USA. She was an actress, known for Mighty Joe Young (1949), Paid in Full (1950) and State Department: File 649 (1949). She was married to Frank O'Neil Scott, Carry Hand Bray, Joe Wendel Owen and Donald Mayo Ford. She died in 1979 in Texas, USA.

Lora Lee ran away from her adoptive parents in 1950 claiming they beat and starved her so she could still get small child roles in the movies. The court advised her parents to take her out of show business and back to Texas. They agreed but she went back to making movies.

Adopted in Schulenberg, Texas in 1945 by Lorraine and Otto Michel. Her birth mother was Mrs. Lena Brunson of Nederland, Texas, who attempted to regain custody of the child following accusations of abuse by the adoptive parents. However, Mrs. Brunson's request was denied. Lora Lee had a biological sister, Barbara Michel Wright.

In February 1962, she and fourth husband Frank O'Neil Scott were arrested in El Paso, TX. The two had stolen a floor model vehicle from a dealership during a test drive, which they drove to Arkansas. There, they stole a car belonging to Michel's former husband, as well as some of his credit cards. Over six a month period, the pair ran up nearly $4,000 dollars on the stolen cards as they drove aimlessly through several southern US states. Scott was sentenced to 27 months, and Michel to 13 months, after which she disappeared from the radar of friends, family, and the press until her alleged (but unconfirmed) death in 1979.

She played an adopted child in her first movie ("Lady at Midnight" from 1948), she was also adopted in real life.
