Dominique Michel was born on September 24, 1932 in Sorel, Québec, Canada. She is an actress and writer, known for The Barbarian Invasions (2003), The Decline of the American Empire (1986) and Bye-Bye (1968).

She have participated to more than 17 "BYE BYEs".

She was awarded the O.C. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on April 13, 1994 for her services to Canadian-French drama in Canada.
