Wendy Bryan Michaels

Wendy Bryan Michaels is an actress known for portraying smart, quirky, and emotionally grounded characters across stage, television, and independent film. She is a series regular and co-creator of the half-hour comedy My Sister Is So Gay, starring Loni Anderson, Debra Wilson, and Tilky Jones, which received seven LA WebFest nominations and won two awards.

On stage, Michaels is a Carbonell Award winner for her performance as Anne in Last Summer at Bluefish Cove by Jane Chambers and a Carbonell Award nominee for her role as Becca in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Rabbit Hole. As a playwright, she premiered her full-length play God and Sex at the Santa Monica Playhouse in 2017, receiving strong reviews and a four-week extension. Her second play, Loving Mathew, was accepted into a theatre festival in 2024 and had a standing-room-only staged reading at Area Stage in Miami in August 2025.

In 2025, Michaels was an international artist residency recipient, supported by a grant. She is currently a producer and participant on an in-production documentary project focused on animal welfare. Her film credits include I Love You Phillip Morris, Sex Drive, and Bachelor Party 2.
