- Norm Prescott was born on January 31, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He was a producer and composer, known for Footloose (1984), Star Trek: The Animated Series (1973) and Jason of Star Command (1978). He died on July 2, 2005 in Encino, California, USA.
- Like his frequent composing partner Ray Ellis, Prescott used a pseudonym when writing music for Filmation television projects. Prescott's nom de plume was "Jeff Michael" which combined the first names of his two sons.
- Co-founder, with Lou Scheimer and Hal Sutherland, of animation company, "Filmation Studios".
- Inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2008.
- Rock-and-roll disc jockey on radio stations in Boston, Massachusetts in the 1950s.
