  • Hans Meyer-Hanno was born on June 3, 1906. He was an actor, known for G.P.U. (1942), D III 88 (1939) and Die kleine und die große Liebe (1938). He died on April 20, 1945 in Bautzen, German Democratic Republic.

Trivia

  • He began his acting career in 1929 with appearances in the "Katakombe" of Werner Finck and at the cabaret "Larifari", it followed tours and theater engagements.
  • He also remained active at the theater till his death.
  • Hans Meyer-Hanno made his film debut after some minor roles in the middle of the 30's with bigger roles in movies like "Pechmarie" (1934). He became established as a movie actor in the following years.
  • In order to disguise his part as a resistance fighter he also took part in some propaganda movies like "Jud Süss".
  • The resistance group of which Meyer-Hanno was a member was called RAS (Revolutionäre Arbeiter und Soldaten), which especially wrote antifascist leaflets which called against the National Socialism and the war. Hans Meyer-Hanno was described by the members as quiet, tough and imperturbable who didn't recoil from dangerous jobs.
