Biography

Antero Mertaranta was born on January 17, 1956 in Hyvinkää, Finland. He is an actor, known for 8-Ball (2013), Putous (2010) and Trench Road (2004).

Holds a master's degree in education and has worked as a teacher.

Is the "blue and white" voice of Finnish ice hockey team. Has been broadcasting national hockey games for over a decade. Is known for his talented use of phrases and throws in lots of self-irony during live feed. His phrases and yelling has been sampled into a music single by "A-tyyppi". Single was a success in Finland.
