Gene Merlino was born on April 5, 1928 in San Francisco, California, USA. He was an actor, known for Bringing Down the House (2003), The Little Mermaid (1989) and ¡Three Amigos! (1986). He was married to Lois Draper. He died on January 8, 2024 in Camarillo, California, USA.

Gene Merlino was the narrator of Rod McKuen's The Sky LP as recorded by the San Sebastian Strings in 1968.
