Monique Mercure was born on November 14, 1930 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was an actress, known for Naked Lunch (1991), The Red Violin (1998) and J.A. Martin photographe (1977). She was married to Pierre Mercure. She died on May 16, 2020 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

She had a music diploma in cello and continued to play the instrument after becoming an actress.
