  • Robin Meloy Goldsby, known professionally as Robin Meloy, is an American actress, pianist, composer, and author.

    She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Bob Rawsthorne, a drummer who performed on the PBS television show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood. She studied drama at Chatham College and began performing as a pianist in Nantucket Island venues during summers. In 1980, she moved to New York City to pursue acting and music.

    Meloy's acting career includes her role as Jeanie in the 1982 cult horror film The House on Sorority Row. She later contributed music to the German films The Crocodiles: All for One (2011) and Systemfehler - Wenn Inge tanzt (2013). After relocating to Germany in 1994, she established a career as a solo pianist, performing in European hotels such as the Excelsior Hotel Ernst in Cologne and Brenners Park-Hotel in Baden-Baden. She has performed for dignitaries including King Charles III and former Chancellor Angela Merkel. Her compositions have garnered over 200 million streams on Pandora. As an author, she has published several books, including Piano Girl: A Memoir and Rhythm: A Novel. She is married to bassist John Goldsby, and they reside in Cologne, Germany.
