- Alex Mebane is an American actor, director, writer and Emmy award winning producer. Much of his work has been in the commercial field. Creating the "Sister" character in 1985, he has played the role as a syndicated character on radio, television commercials, and in the short film, "Be Sweet." He originally began college as a voice major before changing to the radio, television, motion picture department.
