Peter McSweeney is the writer and creator of Vacca, a major historical drama about the life of Dr. Edward Jenner. He has secured partnerships with the WHO (World Health Organisation) and other leading international partners. A UK/EU-based writer, director, and producer, Peter works across scripted drama, branded content, and commercial storytelling.
He is directing the feature film Chess Mates, set to shoot in 2026, and has several television series and films in active development with producers internationally.
Peter cut his teeth as an actor and playwright, training at EAST 15 and Arts Ed, and as part of the Royal Court Theatre's Young Writers Program, while also working with Warner Bros., creating short films for their graduate program. Additionally he has made graduate films for RADA/Warner Bros and has worked for the academy.
For over a decade, Peter has partnered with 84 Media, leading high-level corporate films and commercials for clients across the pharmaceutical, entertainment, and sports sectors. This work has sharpened his leadership and project management capabilities, enabling him to deliver creative projects at scale while navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
Whether developing original drama or directing branded content, Peter brings a storyteller's sensibility and a producer's pragmatism to every project.
