Herman C. McNeile was born on September 28, 1888 in Bodmin, Cornwall, England, UK. He was a writer, known for Bulldog Drummond's Peril (1938), Some Girls Do (1969) and Bulldog Drummond (1922). He was married to Violet Baird Douglas. He died on August 14, 1937 in Pulborough, West Sussex, England, UK.

English writer of detective fiction, who wrote under the pseudonym of "Sapper". He was the creator of 'Bulldog Drummond'. Has latterly fallen out of favour because of his right-wing and often anti-semitic views.
