Biography

Raymond McNally was born on April 15, 1931 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, USA. He was a writer, known for In Search of Dracula (1974), Cineficción Podcast: Ayer, hoy y mañana (2025) and Night Visitors (2000). He was married to Carol McNally. He died on October 2, 2002 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA.

Professor at Boston College specializing in Russian intellectual life. In their book "In Search of Dracula", he and Radu Florescu held that Bram Stoker based Count Dracula on Vlad Tepes, a 15th-century prince of Wallachia (Romania), who was responsible for the murders of tens of thousands of people using especially-gruesome methods.
