Keith McNally was born on July 30, 1951 in London, England, UK. He is a director and writer, known for End of the Night (1990), Far from Berlin (1992) and Eat This New York (2004). He is married to Alina Johnson. He was previously married to Lynn Wagenknecht.

He is currently living in NYC with his second wife Alina Johnson, and has his two children (Isabelle and Harry McNally) part time while his 3rd (Sophie McNally) is at boarding school. He currently owns restaurants (Balthazar, Pastis, Lucky Strike, Pravda).

Was a bellhop at the London Hilton, where he was discovered by a film producer and cast in "The Life & Times of Charles Dickens", with Michael Redgrave.

Owner, "Minetta Tavern" in New York City.

Father of son Harry McNally and daughters Isabelle McNally and Sophie McNally.

Suffered a severe stroke in November 2016 resulting in partial paralysis of his right side and severe aphasia (slurred speech).
