Biography

Una McLean was born on May 1, 1930 in Strathaven, Lanarkshire, Scotland, UK. She is an actress, known for The Master of Ballantrae (1962), The Debt Collector (1999) and Strictly Sinatra (2001). She was previously married to Russell Hunter and Roy Boutcher.

She was trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow and went on to have success in drama and in pantomime.

She was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Emprie) in the 2006 New Years Honours List for her services to drama.

Mother of Abigail (b. 1964) and Gavin (b. 1966) from her first marriage.
