Biography

Malcolm McGregor was born on October 13, 1892 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor, known for Broken Chains (1922), All the Brothers Were Valiant (1923) and Money to Burn (1926). He died on April 29, 1945 in Hollywood, California, USA.

He died in General Hospital as a result of facial and body burns received in his home at 1936 Orchid Ave., Los Angeles, CA. Police reported he was found collapsed on the floor near a bed where he had apparently fallen asleep while smoking.

Skipper of the first sailing vessel to go through the Panama Canal, when he and a Yale classmate sailed from New York to San Francisco on a 75-foot sloop.

Smooth, dark-haired leading man of 1920's silent action films and melodramas, initially under contract with Metro. He was also noted for his prowess as a swimmer. Roles declined after the arrival of sound.
