Biography

Vera McGinnis was born on November 12, 1892 in Missouri, USA. She was an actress, known for The Secret Menace (1931) and Nobody Home (1919). She was married to Homer Farra. She died in 1990.

She was one of the first women to wear long pants.

Rodeo trick rider; rodeo relay rider.

Her rodeo career ended in 1934 after she incurred a collapsed lung, three broken ribs, a broken hip, a broken neck bone, and broken back in 5 places when a horse named China Rose somersaulted on top of her.

Inducted into the Rodeo Hall of Fame of the Rodeo Historical Society (a support group of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum) in 1985.
