- Deirdre McGill is known for Dead Hollywood Blondes (2010), Dumped! (2009) and The Thing Called Love (1993).
- At Connecticut College, Deirdre McGill studied with playwright Rommulas Linney, father of Laura Linney, who was very supportive of her work. She also worked with Dale Wasserman who chose her to workshop the lead in his musical " Shakespheare and the Indians" at the Eugene o Neill Theatre center in Waterford Conn. She appeared there with actor Eric Douglas.
- McGill also studied with legendary method Shakesphearean actor Morris Carnovsky. Some other actors in her class included David Lansbury and Leland Orser.
- In the 1980's McGill was one of the first reality actors starring in pilots for Bob Eubanks production company Hill- Eubanks. One was called " Infatuation" and she also debated attorney Gloria Alred on the Jane Whitney show as a featured guest. She was asked to audition for a reality show by Ivana Trump which featured attractive cougars on dates with young men in 2002. She turned it down.
