Frank McDonald is known for Last Chance Harvey (2008), How to Talk to Girls at Parties (2017) and White Girl (2016).

His songs were heard on two connected British crime shows: The Sweeney and Minder, both starring Dennis Waterman.

The song he co-wrote, "Don't Let Go," plays in the cult movie Creepshow and has Ed Harris disco dancing to it.
