Was going to play Borg in The Robots of Death: Part One (1977) but was replaced by Brian Croucher.

Founded the Bush Theatre in Shepherd's Bush, London

Known in theatrical circles as "the godfather of fringe theatre".

Played the male part in the BBC educational English learning series "Walter & Connie" (1963) together with actress Anne Lawson.

Considered for the role of the Brash Guard in Lifeforce (1985).
