Though her photographs were used to portray Sidney's mother Maureen in the first two Scream films, she did not physically appear in the series until Scream 3 (2000). She's seen on-screen once, in Sidney's nightmare, and then her voice is heard throughout the film via a voice changer used by Ghostface.
