Biography

Urie McCleary was born on July 10, 1905 in Arkansas, USA. He was an art director, known for Patton (1970), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1954) and Blossoms in the Dust (1941). He died on December 12, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Distinguished American art director, who spent the bulk of his career at MGM (1937-68). Worked on many glossy A-grade productions, including National Velvet (1944) and Raintree County (1957). Won an Oscar for Patton (1970).
