Sean McCarthy was born on 25 April 1945 in Cork, Ireland. He was a writer and actor, known for Glenroe (1983), Scottish Playbill (1978) and BBC2 Play of the Week (1977). He was married to Annmarie Cotter and Janet Fenton. He died on 17 January 2022.
