Mary C. McCall Jr. was born on April 4, 1904 in New York City, New York, USA. She was a writer and actress, known for Swing Shift Maisie (1943), I Promise to Pay (1937) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935). She was married to David Bramson and Dwight Franklin. She died on April 3, 1986 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.

She had three children with her first husband, Dwight: daughter, Sheila Benson; and sons, Alan McCall Franklin and Gerald McCall Franklin. She also had a daughter, Mary-David Sheiner, with her second husband, David.

I think sometimes in revulsion from Communism - and revolting they are - you find yourself tempted to go too far the other way. This impulse you must resist.

We were given story credit, then screenplay credit. Then came the name of the man who rewrote it . . . We didn't like it so much we asked to have our names taken off it.
