Gregg McBride is a writer and producer known for elevated thrillers, prestige horror, and breakout holiday films. His upcoming feature Six Till Midnight, produced by Timur Bekmambetov, marks his entry into studio-backed horror, following his Lifetime drama I Am Mary Jo Buttafuoco. His holiday credits include Hallmark Hall of Fame’s A Heavenly Christmas-starring Shirley MacLaine, Kristin Davis, and Eric McCormack-which remains the highest-rated premiere in Hallmark Channel history, as well as BET+ originals The Day Before Christmas and The Christmas Ringer.

Equally at home in darker genres, he has written Would You Kill For Me? and Mommy Meanest for Lifetime, along with scripted work for BET (Sister Code), Nickelodeon (Brand New Moves), and the action feature Epicenter. His projects blend emotional storytelling with commercial appeal across film and television.

Once weighing over 450 pounds, Gregg drew on his personal journey for his memoir Weightless. He is also the author of Just Stop Eating So Much and the children’s book Biron the Bee Who Couldn’t. He has appeared multiple times on the Today show, writes for Psychology Today, and teaches meditation on Insight Timer.
