Biography

Joey Mazzarino was born on June 4, 1968 in New York City, New York, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Sesame Street (1969), Julie's Greenroom (2017) and The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland (1999). He has been married to Kerry Butler since 1997. They have two children.

Has two adoptive daughters who were born in Ethiopia, one named Segi whom he wrote the Sesame Street (1969) song "I Love My Hair" for.

He was the puppeteer for Flexy of the Nick Jr. segment "Little Big Room" along with Fran Brill being the puppeteer for Jam. It aired on Nickelodeon from 1994 to 1997.

Performed two live shows with the cast of Blue's Room at Toys R Us in Times Square on the morning of September 17, 2004 to promote a Blue's Room-themed toy display.
