Biography

Russ Mayberry was born on December 22, 1925 in Duluth, Minnesota, USA. He was a director and producer, known for Black Sheep Squadron (1976), Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) and McCloud (1970). He was married to Mary Ellen "Sandy" Minor and Darleen Engle. He died on July 27, 2012 in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA.

Served as a naval aviator during World War II.

Attended Northwestern University, Chicago. First worked as a stage hand for WBKB television in Chicago. Came to California, via sojourns in Memphis and New York. Prolific director of television episodes and made-for-TV movies.
