  • Andy Matthews is an internationally acclaimed director and producer. A recipient of BAFTA and RTS awards and a Grammy, plus twice Emmy nominated, he is best known for the Beatles Anthology, alongside directing live music events, along with music shows and documentaries for television. An intuitive and innovative director, he has a reputation for building trust with artists and filming inspiring performances.

    As the creative force behind Phantom Music Management's productions, Andy also toured with Iron Maiden. Responsible for directing and filming their live performances, in 2012 he directed En Vivo! the live DVD album and the television documentary 'Behind the Beast', which aired on an array of international channels including BBC Four and Sky Arts.

    Prior to Phantom Andy worked with 3DD, creating and directing The Album Chart Show for the UK's Channel 4 (broadcast internationally as London Live). Guests filmed include: The Killers, Pink, Morrissey, Nelly Furtado, Amy Winehouse, Razorlight and Kanye West, along with many other international artists. He also filmed Lady Gaga's UK debut.
