- Grace Mathews was born in 1932 in the Philippines. She was an actress, known for From Hell It Came (1957), The Flame Barrier (1958) and She Demons (1958). She was married to Scherrer, Bruno. She died in 2019 in the USA.

- She married Bruno Scherrer, who came from Switzerland to United States of America when he was 22 years old. They had two child together: John and Elizabeth. Bruno built a successful car wash company where he built one of the largest washes in the country, doing more than 1,600 cars a day. He was also a big-time game hunter. He died in 2012, leaving behind Grace, their children and four grandchildren.
- Her Filipina mother was Trinidad "Trina" Escoda Gardner Matthews, who was a prisoner of the Japanese during World War II and later married James Matthews, Jr., a United States of America Army photographer. They had five kids, including Grace. Following in Dad's footsteps was Grace's brother Billy, who also became a photographer.
